Everyone here is anonymous. No usernames, and nobody can see who wrote what.
Only you can see this list.
Anonymous Vents is a free place to say what you can’t say anywhere else. Had a bad day? Carrying something heavy? Write it here. Everyone shows up as Anonymous: there are no usernames or profiles, and nobody can see who wrote what.
This forum was made by Taha so that people have a safe place to vent, get things off their chest, and feel a little less alone. It’s a personal, non-commercial project: free, with no ads and nothing for sale.
This isn’t a crisis service, and nobody here is a professional. In an emergency, call 112, free from anywhere in the EU. In France, 3114 is the free suicide prevention line, open 24/7. findahelpline.com lists free helplines in other countries.
Everyone here is going through something. The Rules say what’s allowed, and Privacy explains what happens to your data.
By using Anonymous Vents, you agree to these rules.

Other visitors and the moderator can’t see who wrote what. Votes are stored as codes that can’t be traced back to you, and only the two people in a private conversation can read it, unless one of them reports it. Reports you send are grouped under a random code for your browser, so the moderator can tell they come from the same person, but not who.
Anonymous isn’t the same as untraceable. The company that hosts the site, Google (Firebase), handles technical data such as IP addresses, and like any host it can be legally required to share data with the police or a court.
Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6): providing the service you use, 6(1)(b), for most of the above; legal obligation, 6(1)(c), for illegal-content reports and moderation decisions (Digital Services Act Arts. 16 and 17); legitimate interest in keeping the forum safe, 6(1)(f), for rule reports and disputes; and vital interests, 6(1)(d), for danger reports. Vents can touch on health or other sensitive topics: they’re handled only because you chose to make them public (Art. 9(2)(e)), and nothing links them to you.
The site runs on Firebase, a Google service. Google hosts the page and stores the site’s database in the EU (Paris), as a data processor under the Firebase data processing terms. To tell visitors apart without accounts, Firebase gives each browser a random anonymous ID. Google handles technical data such as IP addresses to run the service; the site itself never sees your IP address. Some processing may happen outside the EU, including in the United States, under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in those terms.
Fonts come from this site itself. The page loads the Firebase software from Google’s servers (gstatic.com), as part of the hosting service above, and nothing from anyone else.
Otherwise, data is only shared when the law requires it, for example with a court order, or with the police when someone’s life or safety is threatened (Digital Services Act Art. 18). It’s never sold or used for advertising.
You can see, download, correct and erase your data, restrict or object to how it’s used, and take it elsewhere. Most of this you can do yourself under Your data. For anything else, email and you’ll get an answer within a month. You can also complain to the CNIL, France’s data protection authority.
